The manor, which was established in the 17th century, was long associated with the von Helffreichs and the Stackelbergs. The single-storey stone main building originates from the middle or second half of the 19th century (privately owned).

By the historical distribution the manor was in Järva-Jaani Parish in Järvamaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Ambla Municipality in Järvamaa County.
