The manor, dating from the Middle Ages, was mainly associated with the von Buxhoevdens and von Osten-Sackens. The simple single-storey stone building erected in the 17th–18th centuries was rebuilt in the eclectic style in the middle of the 19th century, adding a magnificent columned portico added. The estate is in private possession today.

By the historical distribution the manor was in Püha Parish in Saaremaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Pihtla Municipality in Saaremaa County.
