Estonian manors
Ruil in Kirchspiel St. Jakobi, Wierland

The manor, which has first been mentioned in 1453, has been associated with the von Taubes and the von Wrangells. The Baroque single-storey wooden main building from the 18th century is still there, but with alternations made in the 19th century. In 1910, the so-called new manor in Heimat-style was established, which now has been returned to the von Wrangell family. Ferdinand von Wrangell, a well-known explorer and a one-time governor of Alaska, came from the manor.

By the historical distribution the manor was in Viru-Jaagupi Parish in Virumaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Vinni Municipality in Lääne-Virumaa County.
