The estate was first mentioned in 1541 and it has belonged to the Kawers, Golovins, von Brüggens and von Grotes. In the 1850s, a stylish Neo-Renaissance main building was constructed on the estate (rebuilt and now operating as a schoolhouse). A magnificent 19th century industrial complex (called Mäemõisa) is located 2.5 km west of the manor together with its numerous production buildings. |
